Scheda video SIS Mirage 3

Salve a tutti !
Sono un novellino di Ubuntu 10.10 che ho appena installato su notebook Olidata Tehom 7900.
Funziona tutto ma la scheda grafica non va oltre lo standard Vesa di 800x600 px.
Cercando in giro ho capito che la Sis non rilascia i codici per gli utilizzatori Open Source.
Il notebook sembra nato solo per windows.

Il sito dedicato alla tua scheda grafica su GNU/Linux è questo:

e il driver è contenuto nel pacchetto:

xorg-driver-sis671

che dovrebbe ssere presente nel repositorio della tua distribuzione se non addirittura già installato. 

Riporta l'output dei comandi:

lspci -n

e

lsmod

N.B.: Prima di "manipolare" con il file di configurazione Xorg.conf ricorda di farne una copia altrimenti potresti non riuscire più ad avviare la distribuzione (intendo almeno il comparto grafico). E fai un backup sempre dei dati importanti.
