Salve a tutti. Ho installato 10.04 sul mio notebook DELL Latitude E5510 ma presto ho rilevato un problema, gravissimo.
Il sistema non monta piu' hd usb, ne' chiavette, ne' dischi. Ho provato a seguire le istruzioni di diversi forum ma sono sempre allo stesso punto. Mi pare che la 10.04 abbia qualche bug, mi domando quando verra' rilasciata una patch e se la 10.10 e' uscita anche per questo problema. Nessuno mi da una mano? Ecco l'output del comando lsusb, dopo aver inserito una chiavetta da 1 gb.

...sembra che ti vede la chiavetta, mentre è inserita postaci anche l'output del comando:

cosa ti restituisce? , dovrebbe esserci una riga del genere:

...d'altronde prova a montare la penna manualmente, conviene indicare il file system prima del "jolly" -t e crearti una cartella in /mnt/PENNA, ad esempio, appunto provare  Occhi al cielo :

mkdir /mnt/PENNA

mount -t vfat /dev/sdx1 -o rw /mnt/PENNA        ----->   (...dove sdx1 è la penna)

...per sapere qual'è la penna:

fdisk -l

...per sapere l'uuid:

ls -lah /dev/disk/by-uuid

...  Felice scusa tu, cercherò di spiegarmi meglio :

Il comando mount ti mostra il contenuto del file in /etc/mtab, cioè, i dispositivi e partizioni montate in tempo reale. Dall'output che hai postatto si evince che effettivamente, la penna "kingstone" non viene montata, l'output che ho postato prima:

...è quello della mia penna, che oltre alle partizioni fisiche e virtuali del sistema, compare alla fine della restituzione del comando; mount, sul mio pc, e che anche a te avrebbe dovuto restituire una riga simile

Per montare manualmente:

...crea la cartella in /mnt :

mkdir /mnt/ (qui il nome della cartella che vuoi creare, ed usa il nome che vuoi)

ad esempio: mkdir /mnt/kingstone

...Identifica il dispositivo usb in questione:

fdisk -l  ---->   con questo output puoi identificare il device usb (la penna) , se è /dev/sdb1 o /dev/sdc1 etc...

...montaggio manuale della penna nel sotto direttorio appena creato :

mount -t vfat /dev/(nome device) -o rw /mnt/(nome dir)

...dove " -t " , serve a specificare il tipo di file system, in questo caso della penna: " vfat ", /dev/(nome device) è il nome dato dal sistema per la penna che dovrai identificare con l'output " fdisk -l ", " -o " serve ad indicare le opzioni di mount, se solo lettura o se scrittura e lettura etc, in questo caso è lettura " r " (read) e scrittura " w " (write) , cioè --> " rw " .

A parte questo, controlla se nel file /etc/group la voce; " plugdev:x:46: (utente) " , presenta effettivamente la tua utenza in (utente) , cioè, il nome che usi per il login.
